The Vision & Mission for Reptile World

Reptile World Vision - A future where our whanau become the kaitiaki of our special wildlife and they are safe from extinction

Reptile World Mission - To unite people together as whanau to build a safe future for wildlife

Four strategic intents underpin the delivery of this mission and vision, these are:

1. Caring for our wildlife through education
2. Inspiring our whanau community to get involved
3. Promoting the conserving of wildlife in their natural habitat, aided by kaitiaki
4. Building an organisation sustainable through economic changes

The Key Conservation Actions that Reptile World promote are:
  • Choose wisely – Make informed purchasing decisions that are good for the animal and the environment, understanding each animal’s specific requirements is paramount to ensuring the health and wellbeing of the animal.
  • Live sustainably – Make informed decisions about the food and resources needed for specific animals; understanding these requirements enables the sustainable processes needed for maintaining live food and provide good husbandry.
  • Getting involved – Working with local iwi and community groups, understanding how the community can help become part of the Reptile World whanau journey.
  • Protect what’s precious – Add to and improve the kaitiaki journey of our native wildlife within the area, working with the local community groups to improve the local environments for our wildlife
